Ever since I can remember, I have wanted a James Avery charm bracelet. It was all the rage in my teens and I loved the idea of being able to remember events and moments in your life by adding a charm to a bracelet.
As I got older, I thought that I was likely “too old” for a James Avery charm bracelet. I still wanted one, but I also didn’t know anyone my age or above still collecting charms. Then, I started noticing more and more people with them. I would ask different people in my life who had a charm bracelet from James Avery to tell me their story.
Each person I spoke with had a story for every single charm on their bracelet. Each charm had a story or a memory. I loved that! So, I finally decided to take the leap and get my own James Avery charms and bracelet.

Baseball & Glove Charm – As you may or may not know, my grandpa on my dad’s side was really into baseball. It is something he passed on to my dad, who passed it on to me. Baseball is one of the things that makes me feel close to him even though he is no longer with us.
Paw Print Charm – I have two pups, a big one and a little one. Their names are Chapo and Pablo. I love them more than a Dog Mom probably should. LOL. I got this charm engraved with “Chapo & Pablo”.
My Heart is Yours Charm – I am married to the most amazing man ever. When I first met him, I gave him a key keychain and told him that my heart was his and THAT was the key to my heart. This charm reminded me of that moment so I got it and engraved it with “Rooster”. That is my nickname for him. <3
Deep in the Heart of Texas Charm – I don’t think this one needs an explanation. Hahaha. Texans LOVE Texas. And I will always rep and love my state!
Kappa Delta Chi Lavaliere – I ordered a lavaliere with my sorority letters to add to my bracelet. I love my sorority still to this day and serve on the National Administrative Council. It is something that I hold very close to my heart.
