Hello lovelies!! I am back from my vacation! We had such a great time and I am a little sad to be back to reality, but it nice while it lasted.
This past weekend, my mom, sister, and I headed to Cancun to celebrate my little sister’s 18th birthday.
We stayed at the Krystal Grand Punta Cancun and had the all-inclusive package. It was AMAZING, to say the least. We enjoyed amazing food and beverages all day, everyday we where there.
The beach was beautiful despite all the seaweed that has accumulated over the past year there. The sand was still clean and white. The weather was a little cloudy and stormy when we arrived, but it cleared up by the second day we were there.
We also went to the local market, Mercado 28, on Saturday to do some day shopping. I bought a cute Mexican style shirt and belt. There were many little shops and so many items to choose from. The vendors are constantly calling out to you to come buy form them. So, don’t be afraid to haggle and get the lowest price possible if you go shopping here.
We also ate at El Cejas, a delicious local seafood restaurant. Β We had some caldo de mariscos, seafood empanada, and a seasfood parillada. There were two musical groups playing while we were there. The service was amazing and i will definitively be going back when I return to Cancun.
As you all know, nightlife is the main attraction in Cancun. Our first night there we bought a package for $68/person (open bar) to go on a “pub crawl” of a couple of different nightclubs. We went to Mandala, Dady’O, The City, and La Vaquita. If you like EDM and are looking to fist pump and shuffle all night then I suggest going to Mandala or The City. Dady’O has a rotating dance floor and they play all sorts of music that you can dance to. La Vaquita plays a lot of hip hop, reggae and dancehall. La Vaquita was my favorite that night. I love hip hop and I was sad they didn’t play it at more clubs.
The second night we went to the famous Coco Bongo. Coco Bongo is a little pricey at almost $75/person (open bar) for access to only one club. What you really go to Coco Bongo for is the shows.Β The shows are excellent. It is suitable for all ages but does get very noisy in between the different shows. It gets really crowded and even the VIP areas don’t have a lot of seating room. Be prepared to be standing and sweating. In between shows, the music is pretty good and you can dance if you find some room to dance in. The atmosphere is great and if you feel like seeing a “Vegas” style show while in Cancun, this is for you!
Our last full day there Β was Sunday. We spent the day ta the spa then by the pool and beach. That night we went to a pirate show called, Captain Hook. The cost ranges from $65/person to $102/person. This includes chicken or steak/lobster dinner with unlimited salad bar and open bar. The pirate show is great and there is even a pirate fight and fireworks. There are contests in between which are pretty fun. At the end there is a “disco” portion where the pirates play music and the participants can dance.
Overall we had an AMAZING time and I can’t wait to do it again! Happy birthday baby sister!! Hope you had a great time too!
