TNL Travels: New Orleans, Louisiana

When the bride invited me to New Orleans for her bachelorette, I was a little nervous. Girls’ Trips, in general, make me nervous after a bad experience I had. I was excited to go back to NOLA, though, since the last time I was there it was for my brawda’s big 2-1. Although I didn’t hit up NOLA for my bachelorette, it’s the PERFECT place for a bachelorette. There is SO MUCH to do! And the food is AMAZING!

TNL Travels: Getting Ready for NOLA and Packing List

I am officially 1 day away from my trip to NOLA for a friend’s bachelorette party weekend. I haven’t been to New Orleans since 5 years ago for my baby brawda’s big 2-1. I love the spirit and the culture of The Big Easy. I am SO EXCITED to finally be back. I love traveling and it is definitely something I want to do more. I especially love the planning process leading up to a trip. I always do the same 3 things before visiting somewhere new or even somewhere I have gone to before.

TNL Travels: Playa del Carmen, Quintana Roo

When the bride invited me to Playa del Carmen for her bachelorette, I was a little nervous. Girls’ Trips, in general, make me nervous after a bad experience I had. TNL Travels: Magnolia Hotel Houston

When I found out I was staying at the Magnolia Hotel in Houston during my stay while visiting the Bud Light Brewery, I started Googling right away. I read that it was a boutique hotel and I thought, “Oh, that’s cool.” I had never stayed in a boutique hotel, but I had heard of them before. I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but upon arrival that all changed.

Hello Texas!!! A Recap of our Trip to Colombia and Upcoming Giveaway!

The food was AMAZING! And super cheap. The conversion while we were there was $1 US = $2,800 Colombian Pesos (Or $2.80). We ate like royalty the whole time were there. Not only was the food cheap, but they also serve HUGE portions. I have found this to be true in Mexico as well, that the level of service is SO MUCH BETTER than it is here. People in Colombia are continually trying to see how you are and really trying to accommodate to you. Every place we ate at, we were treated like VIPs and that is something that I feel is lost sometimes in the United States.

Nos Vamos a Colombia! Meeting the Love of My Life and Getting Ready for Our First Big Trip

I never understood that Colombians were “different” than us. We are Mexican, but my parents still exposed me to other Latin cultures and customs. In a way, I was always destined to meet a Colombian and fall in love with him, right? *winks*
Now, I am 3 days away from boarding a flight to Colombia. I am so excited and can’t wait to see what awaits us there! Julian has been there multiple times in his life (obviously), but this will be my first time visiting another country other than the US or Mexico.
