Happy Thursday!! We are officially 1 day away from my trip to Monterrey for my cousin’s wedding. I havenβt been to Monterrey in over 5 years. Monterrey holds a huge place in my heart since it is one of the places we visited frequently as kids.Β I am SO EXCITED to finally be back.
I love traveling and always research a place I am visiting in DETAIL, even if I have been there before. I like to discover new things to see, places to eat, and places to par-tay.
Monterrey is beautiful with it’s mountains and rural feel even though it’s a huge city. I really like museums and anything that has to do with history, so I always look for ways to learn more about a place anytime I travel.
I always make 3 lists for the place that I am visiting. I do A LOT of research for these lists. Haha. I make a To-Do list, a To-Eat list, and a packing list.
I usually started with anybody I know who is from the area and ask for their recommendations. Second, I consult people who I know that have traveled to or travel often to that place. Third, I head to good ole YouTube and Google to see what the “experts” say.
I always check the weather history for the time I plan on visiting a place right after I book aΒ trip. I like to be prepared for anything that may come my way. I also want to know if it’s historically rainy or snowing in the place I am going so I know what to pack and what to buy if I don’t already have it.
For our trip to Monterrey, it’s not looking too good. Haha. It is going to be highs in the low 80s and lows in the high 60s. It’s going to be mostly partly cloudy with a 40% of scattered thunderstorms. So, I will for sure be packing my umbrella.
