Holy Mole! Celebrating Las Posadas!

Last year, my boyfriend and I decided to start having an annual posada at our place. This year it will be the last posada we have in an apartment before we move into a house. I want to make it an extra special holiday party because of this, so I decided to make mole for my first time for the party.

It was AMAZING, to say the least. We enjoyed amazing food and beverages all day, everyday we where there. The beach was beautiful despite all the seaweed that has accumulated over the past year there. The sand was still clean and white. The weather was a little cloudy and stormy when we arrived, but it cleared up by the second day we were there.

1st Generation American: My Story

I am Mexican American. I am tired of being criticized for loving the United States, but for also embracing my Mexican heritage and traditions. I am in-between two worlds. It’s something only a few can understand. Being 1st generation American you constantly feel like you don’t know who you are because you love two very different cultures at the same time. And if you ever love one more than the other, at any instance, you feel like you are cheating on the other.
