I’m baaaaaaaack!!! Vegas was super fun and AMAZING! I love Vegas in general, so I really enjoyed myself.
Not going to lie, taking a girls trip was TOUGH. There are just so many different personalities and different wants that it is hard to come to a decision that everyone is all for. Although we had our disagreements, I still enjoyed myself. All I need to make my Vegas great is some dranks, same gambling, and some grub. =)
Our first day in Vegas, we spent most of the day waiting for the Canelo vs. Cotto weigh-in. We started off by eating the champagne brunch at Mandalay Bay. It was super delicious and our waitress hooked us up with “to-go” cups of champagne. We were pretty happy to say the least.
The line for the weigh-in was RIDICULOUS, but we had fun and there were so many people we met and that made the line even more enjoyable. Once inside, though, people got CRAY and started pushing. It was pretty bad. Once inside the actual venue, everything calmed down and we waited for the boxers to come out.
That night we went to explore a bit and then to go see Calvin Harris at Hakkasan at the MGM Grand. Again, the lines were ridiculous, but once inside it was pretty fun!
The second day, we slept a little later then went to the food court for breakfast. We spent the day gambling and playing the slots. All the girls really enjoyed themselves. We also went down the strip and explored a bit. I put in some bets for the Cowboys vs. Dolphins game for my boyfriend. I was pretty nervous putting in the bet, but we ended up coming out on top! Yay for that game!
That night some of us went to watch the Canelo vs. Cotto fight at the closed circuit venue at the MGM Grand and the rest of us went to go see the Britney Spears show at Planet Hollywood. While I was at the fight watch party, I got in line for the bar where I met Chingo Bling and some of his posse. It was pretty random, but cool at the same time. It was a pretty chill night and we didn’t end up doing much after.
Sunday was probably one of the best days. We ventured to downtown Las Vegas. The drinks, food, and the gambling was cheaper and BETTER. I taught all the girls how to play craps and finally got the courage to play at an actual table instead of the electronic craps machine. We spent the day drinking, eating, gambling, and literally dancing in the street! It was pretty fun and I was glad to get away from the glitter and glitz of the strip for a bit.
That night we planned on going to a show, but we ended up falling asleep. We were EXHAUSTED from the day and ended up waking up around 4 in the morning.
Our last day there we did a little more sight seeing of the strip and ventured out towards The Venetian. We ended back up at New York, New York playing craps and playing the slots.
Our trip back was amazing all thanks to the wonderful staff aboard our flights back to Austin. They were AMAZING!!! Free drinks and all.
Overall it was an amazing trip and I can’t wait to go back to Vegas!
