HELLO 2022!
Y’ALL…WE HAVE OFFICIALLY SURVIVED 2020 AND 2021 Y’ALL!
I can’t believe 2022 is here ALREADY here! The past year went by super fast! January is one of my favorite months because it serves as a month to START OVER for many of us. We now have 361 days left in 2022 and that is 361 more opportunities to make this year YOUR year!
My Goals…Why do I set them? Why do I want to share them here?
- Setting goals helps me remain focused.
- Sharing my goals helps to hold me accountable.
- I hope that it may inspire you to set goals for yourself!
Setting goals is essential for thinking about your ideal future, and for motivating yourself to turn your vision of this future into reality. The process of setting goals helps you choose where you want to go in life. By knowing precisely what you want to achieve, you know where you have to concentrate your efforts. You’ll also quickly spot the distractions that can, so easily, lead you astray.
My word of the year is OPPORTUNITY. I want to take every single opportunity that comes my way into consideration and if there aren’t opportunities that I want then I hope to create them.
My phrase of the year is “The worst they can say is no.” That was also my phrase in 2019 when I decided to go for it more with TNL and I don’t think it’s bad that I am using it again for 2022. Time to start reaching out for what I want even if it may not always go my way.
Life Goals
- Get 7-8 hours of sleep.
- Start incorporating Meatless Mondays all year.
- Train and run a half marathon.
- Workout at least 3 times a week.
- Read at least 1 book a month.
- Donate more time and money to causes I truly believe in and care about.
- Make more time for family and friends.
- Spend more time with my pups.
- Continue to build meaningful relationships in my life and in my community while helping elevate those around me.
Werk Goals
- PASS THE PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING EXAM.
- Leave the 9-5 life.
- Go freelance with my engineering design career.
- Make at least 100K a year with engineering AND The Nueva Latina.
- Stay on top of my professional organization responsibilities and be more intentional when getting involved on boards.
- Be more social with my coworkers and start establishing myself as a leader at my company.
The Nueva Latina Goals
- Post on Instagram at least 1 time a day.
- Post on TikTok at least 1 time a day.
- Reach 10K followers on Instagram by the end of the year.
- Reach 10K followers on TikTok by the end of the year.
- Start running social media marketing for at least 3 small businesses.
- Start writing my novel and children’s book.
- Cover more local shops, people, organizations that I shop at and support.
- Do more travel blogs and vlogs even when I am not visiting a location.
In 2022, I really want to BE HAPPY and to TRAVEL. I can’t wait to see what 2022 holds for me, for my career, and for The Nueva Latina!
