Ready, Set, GO! Motivate Yo’ Self in 10 Easy Steps

We are all experts at setting goals. Today we’ll do 12 different things. And by the end of the month, we’ll nail all those, plus one million more. Easy, right?

Truth is, it’s much easier to set goals than to ACTUALLY do them. It all comes down to motivation, and let’s be honest: motivation can go down the drain…very, very fast. It’s just so much easier to sit back and think about all the things we’re going to do… eventually.

The Nueva Latina’s 10 Steps to Starting Your Blog

I started blogging about 5 years ago, but I started to really get into it about 3 months ago. It has been a journey so far and I am excited to be a part of this AMAZING blogger community. A friend of mine is looking into starting a blog for her brother and she asked me to write her a list of steps to start a blog.

Thoughtful Thursday: This is a Man’s World

Throughout my college career I was judged by the way I looked more than by how smart I actually was. It really took a toll on me during my third year and I felt like I couldn’t go on. Advisers and mentors I had all kept telling me, “Maybe engineering just isn’t for you”. On top of everything, I was one of few Latinas in my classes. Of course, all the Latina/os stuck together by joining organizations such as Pi Sigma Pi and SHPE. But, for a while, that wasn’t enough for me. I longed to be a man, just because it seemed like everything came easier for them.
