Hot Luck is a match made in heaven for me. It includes my two loves of food and music. The brainchild of Aaron Franklin, Hot Luck is situated at the intersection of modern Texas culture, family traditions and rock ‘n’ roll. Hot Luck is what happens at the fire—in the flames. It’s where the inspiration turns into food. And that food feeds the people, and the music, and the next round of crazy ideas that flicker to life.
I attended the festival last in 2018 and it did not disappoint! Hot Luck is a lot like an ACL minus all the extra people that are just there for an Instagram selfie post. Haha. People that attend this weekend-long event really care about the food, the music, and what really brings us all together.
Hot Luck returns in 2022 on Memorial Day weekend in Austin, Texas with familiar faces and new friends for a one of a kind finger-licking and finger-picking good time.
Hot Luck is proud to benefit Southern Smoke, a wonderful organization helmed by Chef Chris Shepherd that has been taking care of the food and beverage industry during recent, difficult times.
